Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) has unveiled the International Room, a dedicated high-limit gaming space in Queens, marking a significant upgrade to its offerings as the property celebrates 15 years of operation. The new venue, which opened with a performance by hip-hop icon Nas, spans approximately 13,657 square feet and features 48 table games, including baccarat, roulette, and blackjack, along with three private gaming salons.
The International Room is designed to deliver a premium experience typically found in luxury casino destinations, with personalized hospitality and 24-hour dining options available directly on the gaming floor. Private salons can be reserved for tailored service, including entertainment options such as karaoke, catering to high-stakes players seeking discretion and exclusivity.
Expansion and anniversary milestone
The launch is part of a broader expansion on RWNYC's first floor, which adds 57 table games and 147 slot machines, bringing the total to nearly 300 live table games and over 4,000 slot machines. This growth underscores RWNYC's commitment to enhancing its entertainment and gaming offerings, positioning the venue as a major destination in the New York metropolitan area.
Meghan Taylor, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Relations at RWNYC, said, "The International Room is a major milestone in the evolution of Resorts World New York City." She emphasized that the space reflects the company's dedication to providing world-class amenities and attracting a discerning clientele.
Robert DeSalvio, President of Development at Genting Americas East, expressed pride in the swift execution of the project. "We are proud to have developed this new space so quickly, and we remain focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our guests," he said.
The International Room reinforces RWNYC's vision of a fully integrated resort, combining gaming, dining, and entertainment under one roof. With its proximity to Manhattan and John F. Kennedy International Airport, the property is well-positioned to draw both domestic and international visitors, further establishing Queens as a premier destination for leisure and business travel.
For travel professionals, this development signals a continued investment in high-end amenities within the New York market, which could influence group bookings and corporate incentives. The addition of private salons and 24-hour dining may appeal to MICE planners seeking exclusive venues for high-profile events. As the hospitality sector evolves, properties like RWNYC are setting new benchmarks for integrated resort experiences.
Related developments in the region include exclusive access offerings at One Times Square, highlighting a trend toward premium, experience-driven attractions. Meanwhile, luxury hospitality continues to expand globally, with properties like WorldHotels Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc launching ultra all-inclusive packages and Ella Resorts planning an adults-only property in Corfu.
As RWNYC marks its 15th anniversary, the International Room represents a strategic move to capture a share of the high-limit gaming market, which has seen growth in recent years. The property's expansion is expected to generate additional foot traffic and enhance its competitive position against other East Coast gaming destinations.
