Rosewood Bangkok is elevating its cultural programming with a new exhibition by renowned Thai floral artist Sakul Intakul, titled Nest: Sanctuary of the Soul. Running from 9 July to 30 September 2026 at the hotel's The Gallery, the showcase offers a multi-sensory journey through sculptures, paintings, and immersive installations that draw on the restorative power of nature.
Curated by La Lanta Fine Art, the exhibition presents Intakul's signature floral artistry in a new light, using the nest as a central metaphor for protection, renewal, and inner sanctuary. "Nest is not simply a physical structure but a metaphor for the inner self—a place where we feel safe, grounded, and able to reconnect with what truly matters," Intakul explained.
Immersive Installations and Artistic Vision
The Gallery has been transformed into a contemplative space featuring contemporary sculptures, bronze works, and canvas paintings. A standout element is an immersive installation of suspended lotus-leaf structures paired with a tranquil soundscape, inviting visitors to become part of the artwork. The exhibition underscores Rosewood Bangkok's commitment to supporting Thailand's arts community and offering guests culturally enriching experiences.
Sandra Watermann, Managing Director of Rosewood Bangkok, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. "Sakul Intakul's remarkable body of work beautifully reflects the harmony between nature, craftsmanship, and mindful living," she said. The exhibition aligns with the hotel's broader strategy of integrating local art and culture into the guest experience, a trend increasingly seen across luxury hospitality.
Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the exhibition is complimentary for both hotel guests and the public. Selected artworks are available for purchase, providing an opportunity for collectors and design enthusiasts. This initiative complements other cultural activations in Bangkok, such as the upcoming Happitat Bangkok Happiness Landmark opening in August 2026, and the West Kowloon Cultural District's Bangkok campaign to drive tourism and investment.
For travel professionals, this exhibition represents a tangible example of how luxury hotels are leveraging art to differentiate their offerings and attract discerning guests. Rosewood Bangkok's focus on local craftsmanship and mindful living resonates with the growing demand for authentic, experience-driven travel. Similar initiatives, such as Janu Tokyo's transformation into a living gallery with Jean Jullien's PAPER PEOPLE, highlight a broader industry shift toward integrating art into hospitality.
As Bangkok continues to position itself as a cultural hub in Southeast Asia, properties like Rosewood Bangkok are playing a key role in curating experiences that go beyond accommodation. The exhibition also supports the city's appeal to MICE and luxury travel segments, offering unique venues and programming for corporate events and high-net-worth individuals.
With its emphasis on nature, craftsmanship, and mindfulness, Nest: Sanctuary of the Soul is poised to attract both local art aficionados and international travelers seeking deeper connections during their stay. The hotel's collaboration with La Lanta Fine Art further cements its reputation as a destination for contemporary art in the region.
