Silversea Cruises has released its most extensive forward itinerary program to date, the 2028–29 Voyage Collection, comprising 278 voyages across 497 destinations in 71 countries. The collection, branded under the theme “Let the World Surprise You,” is designed to position the ultra-luxury line at the intersection of expedition capability and cultural immersion.

Antarctica Access Without the Drake Passage

Silversea is expanding its Antarctica Fly Cruise program, which eliminates the traditional Drake Passage crossing. Guests begin with a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South in Patagonia—billed as the southernmost hotel on Earth—before boarding a private charter flight directly to Antarctica. The program includes 41 voyages across three expedition ships, with festive Christmas and New Year departures. This model mirrors the approach taken by Atlas Ocean Voyages, which recently unveiled its own Fly the Drake expeditions for the 2027–28 season.

Mediterranean and Grand Voyages

The line is deploying Silver Wind for an expanded Mediterranean expedition program, calling at lesser-visited Greek islands such as Milos and Folegandros, as well as North African ports including Algiers and Bejaia. A notable routing takes the vessel inland along the Guadalquivir River to Seville. For longer itineraries, the 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage aboard Silver Dawn covers over 40 destinations across 13 countries, combining iconic calls in Istanbul and Amalfi with smaller ports like Menton and Naxos.

Northern Europe and North America Debuts

Silver Nova will make its inaugural Northern Europe season, navigating Norway’s fjords and Baltic capitals alongside Silver Spirit. Meanwhile, Silver Spirit will debut in Canada and New England, with extended stays in Quebec City, Halifax and Boston. The fleet’s focus on smaller harbours—Saint-Tropez, Monopoli and similar boutique ports—remains a differentiator against larger vessels.

Cultural Timing and S.A.L.T. Programming

The collection aligns departures with major cultural events: the Monaco Grand Prix (viewed from Silver Ray in the harbour), Japan’s Gion Matsuri and Nebuta festivals, Scandinavia’s midsummer celebrations, and Atlantic harvest-season wine experiences through the S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) program. More than 50 overnight calls and extended stays are included across the fleet.

Silversea’s S.A.L.T. program continues to anchor the culinary and cultural experience, offering hands-on cooking classes, market tours and shore excursions tied to local food traditions. Land extensions—such as Finland’s sauna culture or private island stays in the Seychelles—are available to extend the journey beyond the ship.
