Thailand’s position as a global wellness powerhouse will be reinforced at BEING 2026, the region’s leading B2B wellness conference, returning to Angsana Laguna Phuket on 2 September. As the worldwide wellness industry is forecast to hit $1.35 trillion by 2028, the event brings together operators, investors, and entrepreneurs shaping the wellness economy, with Thailand at the forefront.

Interactive Format Designed for Engagement

Curated by C9 Hotelworks, Mrs B Group, and Delivering Asia, with backing from the Phuket Hotels Association, BEING 2026 moves beyond traditional keynote speeches. The full-day programme prioritises active participation through three Conversations, 12 Workshops, and three Movement Sessions. Bill Barnett, Managing Director of C9 Hotelworks, explained the rationale: “The format is deliberately active because the subject demands it. Most conferences in this space treat wellness as a subject for observation. BEING treats it as something to be experienced.”

The Conversations will explore wellness’s impact on hospitality, destination demand, and healthcare ecosystems. Workshops cover topics including AI, nutrition, and brand building, while Movement Sessions allow attendees to physically engage with the disciplines discussed. This approach aligns with broader industry trends, such as Regent Seven Seas Prestige’s upcoming Solara Wellness Decks and MSC Cruises’ fleetwide spa overhaul, both emphasising experiential wellness.

Key Speakers and Networking Opportunities

Notable contributors include Ingo Schweder, CEO of GOCO Hospitality, and Andrew Giles, Executive Director of Bumrungrad International Hospital Phuket. Sumi Soorian, Founder of Mrs B Group, will moderate a session on wellness as a primary travel motivator. The Wellness Exchange will host 27 exhibitors, offering a marketplace for wellness products and services, while the BEING Table: Open Connections facilitates networking among attendees.

Thailand’s wellness leadership is further underscored by initiatives such as Chiva-Som Hua Hin’s community health and conservation efforts and JLL’s insights on strategic investment in Thai hospitality. The country’s appeal as a wellness destination is also reflected in its ranking among the top five Asia Pacific destinations in a recent Visa study.

BEING 2026 will take place from 09:00 to 16:30 on 2 September. The event is free, but registration is required due to limited spaces. For travel professionals—from airline executives and hoteliers to cruise lines and tour operators—this conference offers a unique opportunity to understand and capitalise on the wellness economy’s trajectory.
