Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is sweetening its 2027 European season with a new promotion that folds complimentary hotel nights into select river cruise bookings. Travelers who reserve by 31 August 2026 will receive luxury land stays at the start or end of their seven-day voyage, part of the line's broader push to position itself as a multi-modal travel provider rather than a pure river cruise operator.

The offer applies to six itineraries across 29 departures in 2027. Among the featured options is the 10-night “Slovenia, Venice and the Jewels of the Veneto” itinerary, which includes a three-night stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Ljubljana. Guests can explore Lake Bled, Bled Castle, and the Postojna Caves, and visit a local farm to learn about Slovenia's beekeeping traditions.

Beyond the river: land, rail, and ocean

Chris Townson, Managing Director of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, EMEA, emphasized the company's evolution. “Uniworld has increasingly become much more than a river cruise operator, with elegant land, rail and even ocean stays seamlessly included in our holidays,” he said. The new land-stay offer is a direct extension of that strategy, giving agents a tangible hook to sell the 2027 season.

In addition to the complimentary hotel nights, Uniworld is offering $132 (€125) of onboard credit per person for bookings made before 31 August 2026. The credit can be applied toward Masterpiece Collection experiences, speciality dinners, or spa treatments, adding a flexible incentive for clients who prefer to customize their voyage.

Uniworld's European cruises are known for their ultra-luxury, all-inclusive approach, with premium dining and drinks included in the fare. The line has also released a 24-page digital mini-brochure to help travel agents market the offer to their clientele.

The promotion arrives as river cruise operators compete for early 2027 bookings, with several lines rolling out incentives to lock in demand. Uniworld's move to bundle land stays aligns with a broader industry trend toward expanding beyond traditional river itineraries, as seen in its upcoming new ship launches.

For agents, the offer provides a concrete value-add that can differentiate Uniworld from competitors. The combination of a river cruise with a luxury hotel stay in a gateway city like Ljubljana or Venice appeals to travelers seeking a seamless, multi-destination holiday without the hassle of separate bookings.

Uniworld's land-stay offer is limited to select departures, so advisors should check availability for their clients' preferred dates. The line's emphasis on all-inclusive luxury, now extended to land components, positions it well for the premium segment of the river cruise market.

As the 2027 booking window opens, Uniworld is betting that the added value of free hotel nights will sway undecided travelers. With the deadline of 31 August 2026, there is a clear call to action for both agents and their clients.
