AYANA Bali, the 90-hectare integrated resort in Jimbaran, is set to reinforce its position in the MICE segment with the launch of a new Grand Ballroom in September 2026. Designed by global architecture firm Gensler, the venue offers 1,850 square metres of pillarless space with 9-metre ceilings, accommodating up to 2,300 seated guests. The ballroom is equipped with three large LED screens and integrated audiovisual technology, positioning it for international conventions, corporate summits, and gala dinners.
Expanded Event Infrastructure
The new ballroom is part of a broader expansion of AYANA Bali's event facilities. The resort now offers a spacious foyer for networking and 20 breakout rooms, many with natural light. Direct access to ocean-facing outdoor venues allows seamless transitions from indoor functions to open-air celebrations. With 993 guest rooms, 31 dining venues, and extensive wellness options, the property is designed to host large-scale events without requiring external logistics.
AYANA Bali's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its EarthCheck Gold certification, which aligns with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—harmony between people, nature, and spirituality. The resort minimises transportation needs and emissions by consolidating event spaces within its estate, a factor increasingly valued by corporate planners.
Interest for late 2026 and 2027 is already significant, according to resort management. The expansion comes as Southeast Asian hotel margins face pressure from fuel costs and labour shortages, as noted in our recent analysis of regional operational challenges. AYANA Bali's investment in MICE infrastructure signals confidence in long-term demand for large-scale events in Bali.
The resort's integrated model—combining accommodation, dining, wellness, and event spaces—mirrors trends seen in other luxury destinations. For context, Maldives resorts are diversifying their guest mix amid GCC disruptions, as discussed in our piece on Maldives luxury resorts. Similarly, AYANA Bali's strategy targets both corporate and incentive travel segments.
With its new Grand Ballroom, AYANA Bali aims to compete with other major MICE destinations in Asia, such as Singapore's Marina Bay Sands and Bangkok's Centara Grand. The resort's ability to host up to 2,300 seated guests places it among the largest event venues in Bali, reinforcing its status as a leading MICE destination in Indonesia.
