The British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, has confirmed a packed summer schedule of ten motoring shows running from early June through July 2026. The programme targets classic and modern vehicle enthusiasts, offering a mix of vintage motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and branded car club gatherings.
Show Line-Up and Key Dates
The season opens on 7 June with the Banbury Run, now in its 76th year. This event is recognised as the premier gathering for pre-1931 motorcycles and three-wheelers, with 500 machines expected. On 13–14 June, the Classic & Vintage Commercial Show will display over 400 commercial vehicles built before 2004, ranging from Morris Minors to 1970s Volvos.
The Aston Martin Owners Club Festival takes place on 21 June, marking the 25th anniversary of the V12 Vanquish — the model famously driven by Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond film Die Another Day. Later in the month, the Ford Nationals on 28 June will bring together Ford car clubs from across the UK and Europe, with a special preview of anniversaries planned for 2026.
July opens with Wythall BusFest on 4 July, followed by the National Metro & Mini Show on 5 July. Additional events fill out the remainder of the month, though the museum has not yet released full details for all ten shows.
Industry Relevance and Visitor Appeal
For travel professionals — particularly those in destination marketing, tour operations, and MICE — the British Motor Museum’s summer programme offers a recurring attraction that can anchor group itineraries or corporate events in the Midlands. The museum itself, located near the M40 motorway and within easy reach of Birmingham and London, provides a dedicated event space alongside its permanent collection of over 300 vehicles.
Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum, said: “These ten key shows sit at the heart of our shows season and form gathering points for a broad range of motoring fans.” The diversity of events — from vintage motorcycles to modern Ford clubs — means the museum can appeal to niche enthusiast groups as well as broader family audiences.
Pricing and Booking
Advance adult tickets for any show are priced at $22 (£18), rising to $26 (£21) on the day. Concessions and children’s tickets are available, and all tickets include full access to the museum. The museum recommends booking online via its website to secure the lower rate.
For travel trade partners, the museum offers group rates and can arrange private guided tours or catering packages. The venue’s flexibility makes it a viable option for corporate hospitality, incentive travel, or association meetings tied to automotive themes.
As the summer season approaches, the British Motor Museum’s show calendar reinforces the UK’s strength in heritage tourism and niche events — a segment that continues to draw international visitors and support local economies.
