BWH Hotels Australasia is deepening its footprint in South Australia with the upcoming debut of Hahndorf on Main, BW Signature Collection, set to open in November. Located in the historic Adelaide Hills town of Hahndorf, the boutique property is designed to serve both leisure and corporate guests in one of the state's most visited destinations.
The hotel represents the third partnership between BWH Hotels and property owner Andrew Chapman, following the successful operations of Best Western Adelaide Airport and Best Western Port Lincoln. This expansion underscores BWH's strategy of strengthening its presence in key Australian leisure and regional business markets.
A blend of heritage and modern comfort
Hahndorf on Main will feature a newly constructed boutique motel and self-contained studio flats, offering a range of accommodation options. The property is positioned as a central base for exploring the Adelaide Hills, with its wineries, artisan food producers, and scenic landscapes. The design aims to complement the town's heritage, reflecting its status as Australia's oldest surviving German settlement.
Rod Munro, Managing Director of BWH Hotels Australasia, emphasized the value of the ongoing relationship with Chapman. "Over the past two years, we've worked closely together across Best Western Adelaide Airport and Best Western Port Lincoln, building a strong partnership based on trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences," Munro said.
Chapman, who sees Hahndorf as a unique destination, expressed enthusiasm about the venture. "Hahndorf is a unique destination with strong appeal for both leisure and business travellers, and we're pleased to be adding a new accommodation option in the heart of the town," he said.
The addition to the BW Signature Collection is expected to enhance the area's tourism appeal, providing a contemporary yet locally integrated lodging choice. For travel agents and corporate bookers, the property offers another option in the Adelaide Hills, a region that has seen growing demand for boutique stays.
BWH Hotels continues to expand its Australasian portfolio, which includes brands such as Best Western, BW Signature Collection, and WorldHotels. The group's focus on owner partnerships and regional development aligns with broader trends in the hospitality sector, where travelers increasingly seek authentic, locally rooted experiences.

Hahndorf on Main is slated to welcome its first guests later this year, with bookings expected to open soon. The property will operate under the BW Signature Collection banner, which offers independent hotels the flexibility to maintain their own character while benefiting from BWH's distribution and loyalty platforms.
