Disney Cruise Line has confirmed details for its next Wish-class vessel, Disney Believe, which will enter service on 18 December 2027 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The ship will introduce the first-ever stage adaptation of Encanto and a new Frozen-inspired dining concept, adding to the line's expanding entertainment portfolio.

Bookings for the inaugural season open on 19 October 2026, giving travel advisors and guests a window to secure space on the four- and five-night itineraries to the Caribbean and The Bahamas. Port calls will include Disney's private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Expansion to 13 ships by 2030

Disney Believe is part of Disney Cruise Line's broader fleet expansion, which will bring the total to 13 ships by 2030. The vessel joins the Wish class alongside Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, all built at Meyer Werft in Germany. The line's growth reflects sustained demand for family-oriented cruise vacations, particularly in the Caribbean market.

The ship's Grand Hall will draw inspiration from Moana, featuring a statue of the character and design elements evoking Pacific Island culture. This central atrium will serve as a gathering point for guests, with entertainment and dining venues radiating from it.

Entertainment lineup

Beyond the Encanto world premiere, Disney Believe will stage a reimagined Tangled: The Musical and Disney Seas the Adventure, a production showcasing beloved Disney and Pixar characters. The theatre program is designed to appeal to multi-generational audiences, a key demographic for Disney Cruise Line.

For younger cruisers, the Zootopia-inspired area Gazelle will offer family activities and adult-exclusive entertainment. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will headline a new interactive family show where guests help solve a mystery—an example of the immersive storytelling Disney is known for.

Dining and bars

Dining highlights include Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast, set in a forest courtyard, and returning favorites like 1923 and Worlds of Marvel. The new Inside Out Joyful Sweets will offer treats themed around Inside Out 2, adding to the ship's dessert options.

Adult-focused venues include AtSea Notes and Wishing Well, offering themed cocktails and live performances. The Haunted Mansion Parlour returns with a refreshed craft cocktail menu, a nod to the classic attraction that has become a fan favorite on other Disney ships.

Disney Cruise Line's investment in original stage productions and themed dining aligns with broader industry trends, as cruise lines compete to differentiate their onboard experiences. Similar moves include Royal Caribbean's SpongeBob musical on its upcoming Hero of the Seas, and Regent Seven Seas Prestige's new bars.

For travel agents, the October 2026 booking window will be critical for clients planning 2027 holiday travel. Disney's private island stops remain a major draw, and the combination of new entertainment and dining is likely to drive strong demand.

Disney Believe will also feature the line's signature rotational dining, with guests moving through themed restaurants over the course of their voyage. The ship's design emphasizes family togetherness while offering dedicated spaces for adults, a balance that has proven successful for Disney Cruise Line.

As the cruise industry continues to recover and expand, Disney's aggressive fleet growth signals confidence in the family cruise segment. With 13 ships planned by 2030, Disney Cruise Line is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the Caribbean and Bahamas market, competing with Royal Caribbean and Carnival Corporation.
