Emirates is rolling out a targeted summer promotion aimed at boosting stopover traffic through its Dubai hub. From 22 June to 12 July, passengers who purchase return tickets in First or Business Class will receive a complimentary two-night stay at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. Those traveling in Premium Economy or Economy Class are eligible for a one-night stay at the same property. The offer applies to return journeys between 25 June and 30 September, provided the Dubai stopover exceeds 24 hours.

Strategic Stopover Incentive

The initiative is designed to encourage longer layovers in Dubai, a strategy that benefits both the airline and the destination’s hospitality sector. Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, said: “Whether visitors are seeking relaxation, adventure, entertainment or a combination of all three, Dubai is the ideal start to any summer holiday.” The JW Marriott Marquis, one of the tallest hotels in the world, offers extensive amenities including multiple dining outlets, a spa, and a rooftop pool.

Emirates is currently flying to over 138 destinations worldwide. The carrier continues to offer flexible rebooking options and comprehensive travel insurance for added peace of mind. For more details or to book, visit emirates.com or use the Emirates App.

In addition to the hotel stay, Emirates’ My Emirates Pass is back, offering over 600 discounts at venues such as spas, restaurants, and retailers. Passengers can unlock these offers by presenting their boarding pass and a valid ID at participating locations.

This summer promotion comes as travel patterns shift toward shorter trips and cooler destinations, according to recent data from Trip.com. Trip.com Data: Shorter Trips and Cooler Destinations Define Summer 2025 highlights how travelers are increasingly opting for compact itineraries, making stopover packages like Emirates’ particularly relevant for airlines and tour operators.

For travel professionals, this deal represents a clear opportunity to upsell premium cabins and extend client stays in Dubai. The combination of a luxury hotel component and the My Emirates Pass discounts creates a compelling package for both leisure and business travelers. Emirates’ ability to leverage its hub status with such offers reinforces Dubai’s position as a key global transit point.

Industry observers note that similar stopover incentives have been used by other Gulf carriers, but Emirates’ scale—serving over 138 destinations—gives it a distinct advantage. The airline’s partnership with the JW Marriott Marquis also signals a deepening relationship with the Marriott International group, which has been expanding its luxury portfolio in the region.

For agents and tour operators, the promotion simplifies the booking process: clients can secure both airfare and accommodation in one transaction. The flexible rebooking policy adds a layer of security, which is particularly appealing in the current travel environment.

As summer 2025 approaches, Emirates is positioning itself to capture demand from both long-haul and regional markets. The offer is open to passengers originating from any of the airline’s global network, making it a truly international campaign.
