eviivo, the property and booking management platform, has announced a strategic integration with Dida, a prominent B2B travel distributor in the Asia-Pacific region. The move is designed to help independent hotels tap into the fast-growing APAC outbound travel market by distributing live rates and availability through Dida's extensive network of more than 40,000 travel distributors.
With APAC outbound travel surging—65% of travel professionals expect increased demand over the next two to three years—independent hotels are looking for efficient ways to connect with international travellers. The integration allows hotels to manage bookings, channels, payments, and guest communications through eviivo's platform, simplifying operations while expanding market reach.
Expanding distribution reach
Dida, recognised as a top B2B outbound player in China, connects partners to a vast array of travel agents, tour operators, and airlines. This partnership offers hotels a chance to tap into APAC-led and global B2B demand, complementing existing direct bookings and other distribution channels.
Gwenael Merlin, Executive Vice President of Strategic Solutions at eviivo, commented: "Independent hotels want to diversify demand, but they also need technology that keeps operations simple."
Luca Plotegher, Director of Hotel Partnerships at Dida, added: "Our partnership with eviivo makes it easier for eligible properties to access Dida's global travel trade network."
Initially available to eviivo customers in the UK and Europe, the Dida connection is set to expand to North America, pending tax and payment testing. This integration marks a significant step for independent hotels looking to broaden their international reach without added complexity.
For travel professionals, this development underscores the importance of B2B distribution partnerships in capturing APAC outbound demand. As airlines like Thai Airways boost European services and new routes emerge, the need for efficient distribution channels becomes even more critical.
Independent hotels that leverage such integrations can position themselves to benefit from the growing number of APAC travellers, whether they are leisure tourists or business delegates attending events like those supported by Maharashtra's new convention bureau.
The partnership also aligns with broader trends in the travel industry, where technology is enabling smaller properties to compete on a global scale. By connecting to Dida's network, eviivo customers gain access to a distribution channel that was previously the domain of larger hotel chains.
As the travel industry continues to recover and evolve, such integrations are likely to become more common. For hoteliers, the key is to choose partners that offer both reach and simplicity, as eviivo's Merlin emphasised. The Dida integration is a clear example of how technology can bridge the gap between independent hotels and global demand.
