Accor's MGallery Collection has entered the Maldives market with the opening of V Villas Maldives at Mirihi, an all-villa resort on the private island of Mirihi in South Ari Atoll. The property, accessible via a 30-minute seaplane from Malé, targets luxury travellers seeking seclusion and authentic Maldivian experiences.
Product Details and Design
The resort comprises 42 villas, including four new overwater villas with expansive private pools, spread across the lagoon and along the beach. Each villa offers panoramic ocean views and a private butler service. The signature suite, Mirihi Maa, is a two-bedroom indoor-outdoor sanctuary with a private pool and direct lagoon access, suitable for families or groups.
Architecture by Studio Gronda incorporates handwoven lattices, coral-inspired ceramics by local artisans, and a sculptural Coral Ceramic Wall glazed in reef-blue shades. Interior tones draw from local pinewood, linen, and timber. The Akoya Sea Lounge features a floating rope chandelier and neutral tones.
F&B and Wellness
Dining venues include Dhonvelli, an all-day barefoot-luxury space with ocean-to-table cuisine; Muraka, an overwater restaurant where Maldivian lobster is flambéed tableside with Muraka rum, coconut curry, kaffir lime, and palm sugar; and the Akoya Sea Lounge for sunset cocktails, including the signature Maldivian Glow made with Mirihi's own Muraka rum, coconut liqueur, and sun-dried pineapple.
The Mirihi Spa offers treatments such as ocean mineral salt scrub, intuitive body massage, infrared sea bath ritual, sound healing, guided meditation, and aerial yoga. The signature treatment is a full-body massage with warm seashells inspired by the five elements.
Signature Experience and Community
MGallery's M Moment at this property is a full-day charter of the Mirihi Thari, a luxury yacht for exploring Ari Atoll, with opportunities to encounter whale sharks, manta rays, and turtles. Through the Committed to Her pillar, the resort partners with Mom's Aid to support local women.
Rates start from USD 600 per night for rooms and USD 2,100 for suites. The opening adds a new luxury option in the Maldives for travel advisors and tour operators, complementing other recent hospitality debuts such as St. Regis London and the Lacol Khaoyai Chatrium Collection.
