Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa is turning its Jomtien Beach property into a seasonal destination this October, with a lineup of Halloween-themed dining and cocktail experiences aimed at both leisure and business travelers. The program runs from 24 to 31 October and includes a Halloween Dinner Buffet, a Day of the Dead celebration, and a limited-time cocktail collection dubbed Spooky Sips.

Halloween dinner buffet at Goji Kitchen

On 31 October, the resort's all-day dining venue, Goji Kitchen Grill & Bar, will serve a Halloween Dinner Buffet from 6pm to 10pm. The spread features fresh seafood, barbecued meats, and sushi, catering to a range of palates. Pricing is set at THB 1,788++ (approximately $49) for adults and THB 894++ (about $25) for children, making it a viable option for families staying at the property.

For those seeking a more elevated evening, Torien Rooftop and Bar will host a Day of the Dead celebration from 7pm to 11pm. The event pairs Mexican-inspired cocktails with live DJ sets, offering a festive atmosphere with views over the Gulf of Thailand. Drinks are priced at THB 250++ (around $7) per glass.

Spooky Sips cocktail collection

From 24 to 31 October, the resort will roll out its Spooky Sips cocktail collection, featuring themed creations such as The Witch and Second Appetite. Each cocktail is priced at THB 380++ (about $10) and will be available at multiple outlets, including La Familiare and The Siam Pool Bar. The collection gives guests a chance to sample limited-edition drinks throughout their stay.

The Halloween programming aligns with a broader trend in the hospitality sector of seasonal activations to drive off-peak demand. Similar initiatives have been seen at other Marriott properties, such as the festive season programme at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach, which targets year-end travelers. For operators, such events can boost food and beverage revenue while enhancing the guest experience.

Resort positioning and amenities

Located roughly two hours from Bangkok, Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa combines local charm with international service standards. The property features 289 rooms, multiple dining venues, and leisure facilities, positioning it as a base for both relaxation and corporate events. The Halloween program adds a seasonal draw for groups and independent travelers alike.

Pattaya remains a key leisure destination in Thailand, and resorts are increasingly using themed events to differentiate themselves. The Day of the Dead celebration, in particular, taps into the growing popularity of Mexican culture and cuisine in Asia, a trend that has been visible in recent hotel F&B launches. For travel agents and tour operators, such offerings can be packaged into short-break itineraries, especially for clients seeking festive experiences without long-haul travel.

The resort's strategy mirrors moves by other hospitality players to extend the travel season. For instance, Evermore Orlando Resort's holiday programming and Florie's wine dinner series at Four Seasons Palm Beach illustrate how hotels are leveraging F&B to attract guests during shoulder periods. Pattaya Marriott's Halloween events are a localized adaptation of this approach.

With the events running through the end of October, the resort is expected to see increased bookings from both domestic and international visitors. The combination of family-friendly dining and adult-oriented nightlife provides a balanced offering that can appeal to a wide demographic, from couples to multi-generational groups.

For travel professionals, the Pattaya Marriott's Halloween program underscores the importance of seasonal marketing in driving occupancy and ancillary spend. As the industry continues to recover, such initiatives are becoming a standard tool in the hospitality playbook.
