Royal Jordanian Airlines has signed a partnership with Ramco Systems to deploy its next-generation aviation software, marking a significant step in the carrier's digital transformation. The Amman-based airline, which operates a modern fleet to more than 55 destinations, will use the platform to streamline engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and compliance processes.

The decision follows a thorough evaluation of global aviation software providers, with Royal Jordanian prioritizing operational efficiency and fleet reliability as it scales its network. The new system will replace legacy processes with a unified digital platform, enabling paperless operations and real-time data visibility across the airline's IT ecosystem.

Digital transformation as a growth pillar

Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership. "Digital transformation is a key pillar of Royal Jordanian's growth strategy," he said. "Our partnership with Ramco reflects our commitment to investing in advanced technologies that enhance operational performance."

The software, trusted by 24,000 users globally, will be tailored to Royal Jordanian's operations, incorporating digital enablers such as electronic task cards, mobile access, and customizable dashboards. These tools are designed to improve maintenance turnaround times and ensure compliance with aviation regulations.

Sandesh Bilagi, CEO of Ramco Systems, commented on the selection: "Being chosen by Royal Jordanian Airlines is a testament to the trust we have earned serving the aviation industry."

For travel industry professionals, the deal underscores a broader trend of Middle Eastern carriers investing in technology to boost operational resilience. Royal Jordanian's move aligns with similar initiatives across the region, as airlines seek to optimize MRO workflows and supply chain visibility.

The implementation is expected to integrate seamlessly with Royal Jordanian's existing systems, providing a single source of truth for technical records and inventory management. This will be particularly valuable as the airline expands its route network, including recent additions in Europe and the Middle East.

Ramco Systems, a leader in enterprise software, leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to drive digital transformation across industries. Its aviation suite is widely used by carriers and MRO providers worldwide, offering modules for engineering, line and base maintenance, and inventory control.

Royal Jordanian, founded in 1963 and headquartered in Amman, has been modernizing its fleet with fuel-efficient aircraft and expanding its network to meet evolving traveler demand. The airline's commitment to innovation and sustainability is reflected in its ongoing fleet renewal program.

For travel-tech vendors and airline IT leaders, this partnership highlights the growing importance of integrated digital platforms in achieving operational excellence. As carriers face increasing pressure to reduce costs and improve punctuality, solutions like Ramco's are becoming essential tools.
