Sun Group, the diversified Vietnamese conglomerate spanning tourism, hospitality, real estate, and entertainment, has introduced Sun Signature — the country's first fully integrated loyalty programme. Built on Amadeus Loyalty and Rewards, the initiative consolidates loyalty across multiple business units, allowing customers to earn and redeem points across aviation, hotels, theme parks, healthcare, and banking through a single account.

The move addresses a persistent pain point for large travel groups: fragmented loyalty systems that force customers to manage separate accounts for each brand. By unifying these under one platform, Sun Group aims to deepen engagement and deliver more personalised rewards. Members can now use points seamlessly whether flying Sun PhuQuoc Airways, staying at luxury properties like the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, or visiting Sun World entertainment complexes.

Strategic Integration Across Sectors

Bui Thi Thanh Huong, CEO of Sun Group, framed the launch as a natural evolution of the company's customer strategy. "Sun Signature was created with a simple ambition: to recognise and reward our customers wherever they engage with Sun Group," she said. The programme is designed to track and incentivise guest interactions across the entire ecosystem, from a flight to Phú Quốc to a spa treatment at a Sun Group resort.

Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President, Travel Unit & Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Amadeus, noted that the partnership reflects a broader industry shift. "Travel groups need a unified loyalty foundation that supports every part of their business," he stated. The Amadeus platform combines airline-grade loyalty capabilities with the flexibility required by hotel operators, extending the experience beyond traditional travel sectors into adjacent industries like healthcare and real estate.

This launch reinforces Amadeus's commitment to enabling loyalty ecosystems across Southeast Asia, a region where integrated travel groups are increasingly common. For Sun Group, the programme is expected to support growth across its diverse portfolio while building longer-term customer relationships. The company operates a range of assets including Sun World amusement parks, the Sun Premier Village real estate brand, and healthcare facilities under the Sun Medical brand.

Industry observers see the move as a template for other multi-brand travel conglomerates in Asia. As loyalty programmes become more sophisticated, the ability to offer a seamless, cross-sector experience is emerging as a competitive differentiator. Sun Group's approach mirrors trends seen in global hospitality groups like Marriott Bonvoy or Accor Live Limitless, but with the added complexity of integrating non-travel verticals.

For travel professionals, the development signals that technology providers like Amadeus are deepening their capabilities to support complex, multi-vertical loyalty schemes. The platform's ability to handle airline, hotel, and entertainment rewards within a single system could prove attractive to other diversified groups in the region.

Sun Signature is now live across Sun Group's properties and services, with plans to expand to additional partners in the coming months. The company has not disclosed membership targets but indicated that early adoption has been strong among existing customers.
