The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) used IMEX Frankfurt 2026 as the platform to introduce its new brand, MaxiMICE Thailand – From Potential to Exponential. The initiative aims to strengthen Thailand's position as a premier destination for business events, targeting organisers, delegates, and industries worldwide with a promise of lasting value and meaningful impact.

Dr Supawan Teerarat, President of TCEB, stated that the brand is designed to elevate the quality of life for delegates through superior MICE experiences while addressing global agendas such as sustainability and food security. The strategy rests on three pillars: MaxiMICE Your Convenience, MaxiMICE Your Experience, and MaxiMICE Your Impact.

Three Pillars of MaxiMICE

MaxiMICE Your Convenience highlights Thailand's global accessibility and strong government support, making it easier for event organisers to plan and execute. MaxiMICE Your Experience offers diverse experiences beyond traditional meeting rooms, leveraging local culture and creativity. MaxiMICE Your Impact focuses on measuring and verifying the impact of events, with an emphasis on sustainability and carbon footprint management.

Thailand's MICE sector has been gaining momentum. According to the Cvent 2026 Ranking Report, Bangkok ranks as the second top meeting destination in the Asia Pacific region. The country hosted 171 international conferences in 2025, earning recognition as a top meeting destination in ASEAN.

For travel professionals, this development signals increased opportunities for collaboration with Thai venues, hotels, and service providers. The brand's focus on sustainability aligns with broader industry trends, as seen in initiatives like SIWW 2026 to Address Urban Water Resilience for Global Travel Hubs, which also emphasises environmental responsibility in travel infrastructure.

TCEB's new brand is expected to further strengthen Thailand's position in the global MICE industry, ensuring impactful and meaningful business events. The bureau's efforts complement other regional developments, such as Air Astana Opens Astana-Guangzhou Route, Boosts China Network to 51 Weekly Flights, which enhances connectivity for business travellers.

As the MICE sector evolves, destinations like Thailand are investing in infrastructure and branding to attract high-value events. The MaxiMICE initiative reflects a strategic shift towards creating measurable impact, a trend that resonates with corporate event planners and association executives alike.
