Umana Bali, a property within Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts portfolio, has introduced a new suite of bespoke destination wedding packages aimed at luxury travelers and event planners. Perched 70 meters above the Indian Ocean, the resort now offers seven distinct packages that range from intimate gatherings of 20 guests to grand celebrations accommodating up to 200.

Venue Options and Cultural Integration

The centerpiece of Umana Bali's wedding offerings is The Chapel, an architectural structure with glass walls that can host up to 50 guests. For larger ceremonies, the Main Pool and Chapel Lawn provide panoramic ocean views, while the Nusa Indah Ballroom offers an indoor alternative for late-night events. The most exclusive package, Timeless Union at Umana, includes a full buyout of all 72 villas for two nights, complemented by a fireworks display.

General Manager Nicolas Kassab emphasized the resort's approach: "At Umana Bali, we believe that a wedding should be more than beautiful - it should be meaningful." The packages are inspired by the Bali Way of Life, incorporating the Tri Hita Karana philosophy that emphasizes harmony between people, nature, and spirituality.

Inclusions and Customization

Each package includes accommodation in private pool villas, a couple's treatment at Lohma Spa, and a non-alcoholic wedding toast. Couples can personalize their experience with culinary journeys and wellness activities, extending the celebration into a multi-day event. This aligns with broader trends in luxury hospitality, as seen with recent developments like Aman Singapore's Skywaters Residences and MGallery's first Maldives property.

The resort's focus on cultural authenticity and customization positions it to compete with other high-end Bali properties, such as those managed by Four Seasons. The recent appointment of Didier Jardin at Four Seasons Resorts Bali underscores the competitive landscape for luxury wedding business in the region.

Industry Implications

For travel agents and tour operators, Umana Bali's packages offer a scalable product that can be marketed to couples seeking both luxury and cultural depth. The resort's ability to host events of varying sizes—from 20 to 200 guests—makes it suitable for a range of client profiles, from elopements to large destination weddings. The full buyout option, in particular, appeals to high-net-worth individuals and corporate event planners looking for exclusive use.

This launch comes as the luxury travel sector continues to recover and evolve, with destinations like Bali seeing increased demand for personalized experiences. The integration of local philosophy into wedding packages reflects a broader industry shift toward meaningful travel, as highlighted by initiatives such as Yas Island's World Cup 2026 hospitality packages.

Umana Bali's move also signals the growing importance of destination weddings as a revenue stream for luxury resorts. By offering a range of packages with clear pricing and inclusions, the property makes it easier for travel professionals to sell these experiences to clients. The resort's emphasis on customization and cultural immersion could set a benchmark for other LXR properties and competitors in the region.
