Waldorf Astoria has opened reservations for its highly anticipated London property at Admiralty Arch, with stays available from 1 March 2027. The hotel, set to debut in autumn 2026, marks the brand’s most ambitious UK project to date and transforms a landmark that has never before welcomed overnight guests.
Historic Monument Reimagined as Luxury Hotel
Spanning 200,000 square feet, Admiralty Arch was commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by Sir Aston Webb, the architect behind the Buckingham Palace façade. The Grade I listed structure, positioned on The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace in St James’s, has long been associated with national pageantry and state occasions. Now, a meticulous restoration has converted the monument into a 114-key hotel that blends historic grandeur with contemporary luxury.
More than half of the accommodation is dedicated to residential suites and signature suites, including the Nelson Suite, St James’s Residence, and Victory Residence—each named to reflect the building’s naval heritage. Clare Smyth MBE, the only British woman whose restaurants hold four Michelin stars, will open Coreus—a fine-dining concept celebrating the UK’s coastal heritage with sustainably sourced seafood and seasonal British produce. Smyth will also introduce an intimate Whiskey & Seaweed bar inspired by her iconic Potato and Roe dish, featuring a curated selection of whiskies from across the UK alongside a refined cocktail and wine programme.
Daniel Boulud returns to London with Café Boulud, an all-day dining venue on the rooftop offering breakfast, pastries, afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant and terrace provide sweeping views across St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace, positioning it as one of the capital’s most distinctive rooftop dining settings.
Grand Event Spaces and Intimate Wellness
The hotel’s ballroom spans 3,540 square feet and features a nine-metre antique Murano chandelier restored in Rome. Guests arrive via a dedicated entrance, descending the building’s original oval staircase to the ballroom below—a setting suited for gala dinners, weddings, conferences, and brand events.
In contrast to the grand public spaces, the spa offers a more private and intimate experience aligned with Waldorf Astoria’s philosophy of intuitive, personalised care. Facilities include individual and couples’ treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy pool, and private relaxation area, complemented by state-of-the-art fitness equipment.
