YOTEL is entering the Thai market with the opening of YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit on 15 October. The 250-key property, located within the Cloud 11 mixed-use development in Bangkok's South Sukhumvit district, becomes the brand's 24th hotel worldwide and its fourth in Asia. It is also the first YOTEL in the region to operate under the Select by Hilton banner.
The hotel brings YOTEL's signature tech-led experience to Thailand, including self-service kiosks that let guests check in in under a minute, and the brand's reclining SmartBed, designed to optimise sleep. Rooms are compact but efficient, with mood lighting, monsoon showers, and amenities from Urban Jungle. Guests can also request items via service robots, which deliver water, towels, and other essentials directly to the room.
Positioned for connectivity and creativity
YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit is directly linked to the BTS Skytrain via a 300-metre skywalk, placing the trendy Thong Lor district just four stops away and the Asok intersection six stops from the hotel. The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is 2.3 kilometres away, and the hotel offers direct transport to both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports.
Cloud 11, which opened in July, is a THB 20 billion creative enclave featuring content production studios, music recording facilities, galleries, event venues, a cinema, wellness spaces, offices, and retail. It is designed to foster cross-industry collaboration and support Thailand's growing creative economy, with pillars spanning food, fashion, film, music, dance, art, sports, gaming, and festivals.
YOTEL CEO Phil Andreopoulos sees Bangkok as a natural fit for the brand. "Bangkok is not only one of the world's most iconic tourist cities; it is also a vibrant business hub attracting entrepreneurs and digital nomads from around the globe," he said. "This makes it the perfect location for the city's first YOTEL. Our brand has always been about challenging traditional hospitality with intuitively designed spaces, smart experiences, and rooms engineered to deliver the best sleep."
General manager Mike Smith believes the property will be a game-changer for Thailand's hotel sector. "Our unique location within Cloud 11, combined with fast connectivity, 24-7 services, and sleek design, will intuitively meet the needs of today's travellers who crave complete convenience," he added.
Rooms with a view and smart amenities
The hotel offers a range of room types, including the signature Premium Queen, twin and interconnecting options, and larger First Class King rooms with a sofa or sofa bed for families and groups. Many rooms overlook the rooftop park at the heart of Cloud 11 or face Bang Krachao, Bangkok's 'green lung', with higher floors revealing the city skyline.
All rooms come with super-fast WiFi, SmartTVs for device connectivity, wireless charging, and mini coolers. The hotel's 24-7 reception is available for local recommendations, and the guest service robots add a layer of convenience that aligns with YOTEL's tech-forward positioning.
YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit is the first hotel to open within Cloud 11, and its debut signals a broader trend of hospitality brands integrating with creative and mixed-use developments. For travel professionals, the property offers a new option for both leisure and business travellers seeking efficient, design-led accommodation in a rapidly evolving part of Bangkok.
As YOTEL continues its Asian expansion, the Bangkok opening follows other recent debuts in the region, including NoMad Singapore's planned 2026 arrival and Sheraton Jeju's launch in South Korea. The brand's focus on technology and smart design is also echoed in broader industry moves, such as Cloudbeds' new revenue management system.
