Accor has made its long-anticipated entry onto the Las Vegas Strip with the addition of Treasure Island TI Las Vegas Hotel to its Handwritten Collection. The 2,884-room property, inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, is now the largest hotel in Accor's global portfolio and marks a strategic push into the Americas for the French hospitality group.
The move underscores Accor's ambition to grow its presence in the United States through distinctive, character-led properties rather than cookie-cutter brands. Handwritten Collection, launched in 2023, is designed to preserve the individual identity of each hotel while plugging it into Accor's worldwide distribution, loyalty and operational infrastructure.
A landmark for Accor in the Americas
Mauro Rial, Chief Operating Officer of Accor North and Hispanic Americas, called the addition "a milestone for Accor in the Americas." He added that Treasure Island's unique personality and prime Strip location align perfectly with the Handwritten Collection's ethos of celebrating authenticity.
Treasure Island retains its signature full-scale replicas of 17th-century pirate ships at the entrance, a nod to its namesake novel. The resort also continues to host the long-running Cirque du Soleil production Mystère, which has been a staple of Las Vegas entertainment for over three decades.
The property's new marketing campaign, "The Treasure of the Las Vegas Strip," highlights its 24-hour casino, tropical outdoor pool, and a diverse range of dining and leisure options. Room rates start at $69 per night, and guests can earn and redeem points through Accor's loyalty programme, making it an accessible entry point for both leisure and business travellers.
Sustainability is also part of the hotel's appeal. Treasure Island holds a Four Green Globes certification for energy efficiency and waste recycling, and it partners with Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada to support local healthcare access.
The addition comes as Accor continues to expand its soft-brand portfolio across the Americas. Earlier this year, the group reported 6.5% EBITDA growth in H1 2026, driven partly by its lifestyle and collection brands. The company has also been active in other regions, such as the Meliá Collection's debut in Vietnam, signalling a broader trend of hotel groups seeking one-of-a-kind properties to differentiate their portfolios.
For travel agents and tour operators, the new Handwritten Collection property offers a fresh option for clients seeking Las Vegas with a distinct personality. The hotel's mid-market pricing and strong entertainment credentials make it a versatile choice for both FIT and group bookings.
Accor's move onto the Strip also intensifies competition among global hotel groups vying for a share of Las Vegas' lucrative tourism market, which continues to rebound strongly post-pandemic. With its combination of iconic theming, modern amenities and sustainability credentials, Treasure Island is poised to attract a new generation of travellers while retaining its loyal fan base.
