Conrad Hotels & Resorts has broadened its signature Conrad 1/3/5 programme across the Asia Pacific region, giving travellers a structured yet flexible way to engage with local culture. The programme, available at participating properties, lets guests choose from one-, three-, or five-hour itineraries curated by each hotel's concierge team, covering everything from culinary traditions to hands-on craft workshops.

A region-wide rollout of local experiences

The expanded programme spans key destinations in the region. At Conrad Koh Samui, guests can join a one-hour Iris Farm Tour, while Conrad Singapore Orchard offers a Negroni and mixology session. In Hong Kong, a street-food workshop introduces participants to the city's iconic snacks. Japan is well represented: Conrad Osaka leads an Izakaya hopping experience, and Conrad Tokyo hosts an Ukiyo-e masterclass, both lasting three hours.

For travellers with more time, five-hour experiences provide deeper immersion. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island offers a Whale Shark & Coral Conservation Exploration, combining marine biology education with hands-on reef work. At Conrad Nagoya, guests learn the 400-year-old art of Arimatsu Shibori, a traditional tie-dye technique. Conrad Xiamen, meanwhile, takes visitors on a cultural and culinary journey through Kulangsu, a UNESCO-listed island known for its colonial architecture and local food scene.

The programme is accessible through each property's concierge desk and individual hotel websites, with every Conrad tailoring its offerings to reflect the destination's unique character. This localisation is central to the brand's approach, ensuring that no two experiences are identical.

“Luxury travellers today value connection to destination and meaningful experiences, making every minute of their travels count,” said Candice D'Cruz, Vice President of Hilton Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific.

D'Cruz's comment underscores a broader shift in luxury hospitality, where guests increasingly prioritise authentic, time-efficient cultural engagement over traditional amenities. The Conrad 1/3/5 programme directly addresses this demand by offering structured yet flexible options that fit into tight itineraries.

The expansion comes as hotels across Asia Pacific adapt to changing traveller preferences. A recent trend toward adults-only properties reflects a similar focus on curated, high-value experiences. Meanwhile, destinations like ICONSIAM in Bangkok are also leveraging cultural and luxury offerings to attract international visitors.

For travel advisors and agents, the Conrad 1/3/5 programme offers a tangible selling point when pitching Conrad properties to clients seeking cultural immersion without sacrificing convenience. The tiered format allows agents to match experiences to client preferences and time constraints, from a quick tasting to a full-day exploration.

Conrad's move also aligns with Hilton's broader luxury strategy in the region. The brand continues to expand its footprint, with recent openings and renovations across Asia Pacific, and the 1/3/5 programme serves as a differentiator in a competitive luxury segment.

As the programme gains traction, it may inspire similar initiatives from other hotel groups. The emphasis on local culture and concierge-led curation is a growing trend in luxury hospitality, and Conrad's structured approach provides a replicable model.

For now, guests at participating Conrad properties can look forward to a more purposeful stay, with every hour accounted for in a meaningful way.
