Legoland Discovery Centre Hong Kong, located at K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui, is rolling out The True Ninjago Trials for summer 2025, marking the 15th anniversary of the Lego Ninjago series. The event runs from 13 July to 13 September and targets families and young travellers visiting Hong Kong, offering a mix of creative play and interactive challenges.

Interactive Challenges and Themed Zones

The centrepiece is the Monster Strike battle table, where guests build their own Spinjitzu spinner using Lego bricks and compete against elemental monsters. This activity is designed to foster creativity and teamwork among participants. The event also includes five major challenges: Ninjaverse Search, Ninjago Training, Whispering Woods Quest, a massive Lego mosaic celebrating Ninjago's legacy, and a 4D cinema experience featuring Lego Ninjago: Master of the 4th Dimension with immersive special effects.

In the Ninjago Training challenge, participants learn iconic ninja moves and earn an exclusive training headband. The Whispering Woods Quest involves building dragons to combat invading monsters, blending storytelling with hands-on construction.

Anniversary Merchandise and Ticket Deals

To commemorate the anniversary, Lego has released a 447-piece Ninjago monastery set, complete with classic minifigures. Legoland offers two exclusive ticket packages: the Unlimited Play Annual Pass and the Limited Minifigure Package, providing value for repeat visitors and collectors.

This summer activation aligns with broader trends in family-oriented travel experiences. For context, other attractions are also expanding their programming: Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi Launches Weekly Ladies Nights, Expanding Female-Exclusive Programming and Garrya Mù Cang Chải Launches Vietnam’s First All-Wellness Inclusive Package demonstrate how themed events and exclusive packages are becoming key drivers for destination marketing.

For travel professionals, the Legoland Hong Kong event represents an opportunity to package Hong Kong as a family-friendly destination. The city's tourism recovery has been bolstered by such attractions, and the Ninjago Trials could serve as a hook for summer itineraries. Agents and tour operators may consider bundling Legoland visits with other Hong Kong highlights, such as the Peak or Victoria Harbour cruises.

The event also underscores the growing importance of intellectual property (IP) tie-ins in the attractions sector. Lego's Ninjago brand has a global fan base, and leveraging it for a limited-time event can drive repeat visits and extend dwell time. Similar strategies are being employed by cruise lines: Crystal Cruises Launches Four Wellness at Sea Retreats for 2027 Aboard Serenity and Symphony shows how themed programming can differentiate offerings in a competitive market.

From a logistics perspective, Legoland Discovery Centre Hong Kong is well-positioned within the K11 Musea complex, a high-end retail and cultural destination that attracts both locals and international tourists. The venue's accessibility via MTR and proximity to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront make it a convenient stop for families.

For travel-tech vendors and booking platforms, the event highlights the need for dynamic packaging and real-time availability of attraction tickets. As more attractions adopt limited-time events, seamless integration with GDS systems and online travel agencies becomes critical. The Dida Holdings Launches AI-Native Gateway for Hotel Bookings via Partner Platforms illustrates how AI can streamline such integrations.

In summary, The True Ninjago Trials at Legoland Hong Kong offers a substantive summer draw for families, with hands-on activities, anniversary merchandise, and a strategic location. Travel professionals should consider this event when crafting Hong Kong itineraries for the July–September window.
