Marriott International has rolled out its Generously Yours, Sunset campaign, a targeted promotion for the Mauritius market that delivers savings of up to 40% on room rates at three of its branded resorts. The offer is designed to capture European travellers seeking a warm-weather escape during the northern hemisphere's cooler months, with bookings accepted until 14 December 2026.

The campaign spans key demand windows, including school holidays, the festive season, and Easter 2027. It is a strategic move by Marriott to drive direct bookings and bolster occupancy across its Indian Ocean portfolio during traditionally high-yield periods.

Three distinct properties, one unified offer

Each participating hotel brings a different angle to the promotion, allowing Marriott to appeal to a broad spectrum of travellers—from luxury seekers to families and wellness-focused guests.

At The St. Regis Le Morne, set against the dramatic backdrop of Le Morne Brabant mountain, the emphasis is on high-end indulgence. The property recently unveiled its St. Regis Spa by La Prairie, a partnership that elevates the resort's wellness credentials. Guests booking the campaign rate receive a breakfast-inclusive package, a US$100 resort credit, and complimentary non-motorised water sports for stays of two nights or more.

Le Méridien Ile Maurice leans into its French heritage with a focus on family bonding. The resort offers cooking classes and sunset campfire sessions, positioning itself as a multi-generational holiday destination. Its facilities cater to children of all ages, making it a strong contender for extended family gatherings.

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa doubles down on health and wellness, with yoga, sound healing, and healthy cooking classes on the menu. Guests who book directly with the resort receive discounts on spa treatments and a US$100 resort credit, incentivising direct channel engagement.

The campaign also extends to the UK market through British Airways Holidays, which is bundling flights from London Gatwick with stays at these properties. This partnership underscores the importance of the European source market for Mauritius tourism and provides a seamless booking experience for agents and travellers alike.

Marriott's push comes as the luxury hospitality sector in the Indian Ocean continues to rebound, with travellers prioritising experiential stays and wellness offerings. The inclusion of the St. Regis Spa by La Prairie is particularly notable, as it marks a significant investment in high-end spa services.

For travel advisors, the campaign offers a clear opportunity to upsell clients on premium Mauritius getaways, especially during the festive and Easter peaks. The direct booking incentives at The Westin Turtle Bay also highlight a growing trend among hotel groups to reward loyalty and reduce reliance on third-party OTAs.

Marriott's broader strategy in the region has been to diversify its portfolio across lifestyle and luxury segments. Similar initiatives, such as the crystal sound healing program at Pattaya Marriott, reflect the group's focus on unique wellness experiences. Meanwhile, the stay-and-play partnership in Hong Kong shows how Marriott is leveraging local events to drive bookings.

With the Generously Yours, Sunset campaign, Marriott is not just offering discounts—it is curating distinct value propositions for each property, ensuring that the promotion resonates with different traveller personas. The move is likely to be closely watched by competitors in the region, as the battle for winter sun bookings intensifies.
