Park Hyatt Bangkok is dedicating a full month to Italian gastronomy and culture with Italian Heritage at The Park, a programme running until 19 November 2026. Organised with the Italian Cultural Institute Bangkok, the initiative forms part of the XI Week of Italian Cuisine in the World and arrives shortly after Italian cuisine was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The hotel has assembled a calendar of immersive events across its dining venues, from hands-on workshops to curated tastings. Highlights include the Modica Chocolate: Taste, Play & Discover workshop on 28 October and the Italian Coffee: The Vergnano Experience on 31 October, both held at The Bar. Regional Italian wine tastings are scheduled for 23 and 30 October, and 6 and 13 November, offering guests a tour of the peninsula's diverse appellations.
White truffle dinner with DA VITTORIO SHANGHAI
The centrepiece is the White Truffle Four-Hands Dinner on 5–6 November at Embassy Room La Marina. Chefs Alessio Banchero and Leonardo Zambrino, both from the two-Michelin-starred DA VITTORIO SHANGHAI, will collaborate on a menu built around the season's prized white truffle. The dinner underscores the hotel's push to bring internationally recognised culinary talent to Bangkok's luxury dining scene.
Beyond the headline events, the hotel's everyday outlets will carry Italian accents throughout the month. The Living Room will serve Italian coffee and Tiramisu Cannoncini, while the Penthouse Cocktail Bar will feature coffee-inspired cocktails. This approach lets guests experience Italian culinary culture in both formal and casual settings.
The programme also reflects a broader trend in Bangkok's hospitality sector, where hotels are increasingly using food and beverage programming to differentiate themselves. Recent examples include Taj Dubai's cultural and culinary expansion and Davide Giacomelli's appointment at Phulay Bay. For travel professionals, such initiatives can serve as a template for driving local engagement and attracting discerning travellers seeking authentic experiences.
Bangkok's hotel market remains highly competitive, with new openings such as Hotel Indigo Bangkok Thonglor slated for December 2026. Established properties like Park Hyatt Bangkok are responding with programming that leverages cultural partnerships and culinary excellence to maintain relevance.
Italian Heritage at The Park is open to hotel guests and external visitors, making it a potential draw for corporate event planners and incentive travel organisers. The combination of workshops, tastings, and a high-profile chef collaboration offers a ready-made itinerary for MICE groups or luxury leisure travellers.
For agents and tour operators, the programme provides a concrete example of how a city hotel can package cultural immersion into a short stay. The hotel's central location near the Phloen Chit BTS station also makes it convenient for clients exploring Bangkok's dining and shopping districts.
As Italian cuisine gains global recognition, expect more hotels to adopt similar heritage-focused programming. Park Hyatt Bangkok's initiative, with its mix of education and indulgence, sets a benchmark for how a single property can celebrate a national culinary tradition while appealing to an international audience.
