Travel brands across Malaysia and beyond now have a dedicated platform to showcase their achievements as the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2026 – Malaysia opens its call for entries. Organized by Travel Daily Media, the awards program aims to spotlight organizations that are driving meaningful change in the country's travel and tourism landscape.

Recognizing Excellence Across the Travel Value Chain

The awards cover the full spectrum of the travel industry, welcoming entries from airlines such as Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia, hotel groups including Marriott International and Accor, cruise operators like Royal Caribbean International, travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies, tourism boards, and travel technology vendors. Categories span digital transformation initiatives, unique travel offerings, operational improvements, strategic partnerships, and memorable guest experiences.

Malaysia's travel sector is evolving rapidly as businesses adapt to shifting traveler expectations and emerging technologies. The growing demand for seamless, personalized experiences has pushed industry players to innovate, strengthening Malaysia's position as a leading destination in Southeast Asia. The awards provide a benchmark for excellence, encouraging companies to share their most impactful initiatives.

One notable past winner is Resorts World Awana, which received the ESG Initiative of the Year award for its Genting Nature Adventures (GNA) program. Eddie Chan, the company's Environmental Service Manager, Resident Naturalist, and ESG Green Bonding Consultant, noted: "This award has been quite inspiring and will be inspiring us to continue our endeavour to create that balance in getting us between urbanisation and keeping the integrity intact."

The awards ceremony, scheduled for November 2026, will gather industry leaders from across the region. It offers a unique networking opportunity for travel professionals to connect, share insights, and celebrate accomplishments that are redefining travel experiences in Malaysia and beyond.

For travel brands looking to gain industry-wide recognition, the submission deadline is 2 October 2026. Early entries are encouraged. For more details, contact Danica Avila at +(65) 3158 1386 ext. 217 or [email protected].
