TripGain, the AI-powered travel and expense management platform, has unveiled AI Spend Copilot, a conversational intelligence tool that gives enterprises real-time access to travel and expense data. The solution enables finance, travel, and business teams to ask natural-language questions about budget utilisation, policy leakage, cost-centre performance, vendor spend, and savings opportunities — without relying on static dashboards or manual reports.

The launch directly addresses a pain point highlighted in TripGain's recent study, "The State of Business Travel in India 2026", which found that nearly 70% of finance and travel leaders struggle with spend visibility despite significant investments in digital tools. AI Spend Copilot aims to transform complex data analysis into simple prompts, enabling faster business decisions and improved governance.

From Dashboards to Dialogue

Ranga Prasad Badasheshi, co-founder of TripGain, stated: "The next wave of enterprise AI will not be defined by more dashboards. It will be defined by how quickly people can get the right answer and act on it." Early customer deployments have shown that AI-driven spend intelligence can significantly reduce reconciliation cycles and operational overheads.

TripGain's AI strategy began with the Travel Copilot for corporate travel booking and now extends to expense management with Spend Copilot. The company has seen substantial growth, doubling its annual travel transactions and processing over two million expense claims annually. TripGain will showcase its latest innovations at the GBTA Convention 2026 in Chicago, highlighting its commitment to enhancing corporate travel and spend management through AI.

The tool is particularly relevant for travel management companies, corporate travel buyers, and finance teams at airlines, hotel groups, and cruise lines who need to monitor spend across multiple suppliers. For example, a travel manager at a global hotel chain could ask: "Show me Q3 spend on Delta Air Lines flights from New York JFK to London Heathrow" and receive an instant breakdown.

As the travel industry increasingly adopts AI for operational efficiency — similar to initiatives like Saudi Arabia's TourismX AI platform — TripGain's move signals a shift toward conversational analytics in corporate travel expense management.

The company's growth trajectory, doubling annual travel transactions and processing over two million expense claims, underscores the demand for integrated AI solutions in the sector. TripGain plans to demonstrate the Spend Copilot at GBTA Convention 2026 in Chicago, where attendees can see how natural-language queries replace traditional reporting workflows.
