Atlas Ocean Voyages has confirmed the addition of two owner's suites to its upcoming expedition yacht, the Atlas Adventurer, scheduled to enter service in late 2028. Positioned on Deck 6 above the bridge, the suites offer what the line describes as a commanding view of the ocean ahead, blending residential privacy with the brand's signature expedition-style service.
Each suite measures approximately 1,365 square feet, making them among the largest accommodations in the expedition cruise segment. The layout includes two bedrooms, two marble-clad spa bathrooms, and a private wraparound balcony. Designed to host up to four guests, the suites are intended for couples, families, or small groups seeking generous personal space during extended voyages.
James Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, highlighted the unique positioning of the suites. “Our owner's suites occupy one of the most remarkable positions aboard, perched above the bridge with a bird's-eye view of the journey ahead,” he said. The design draws on Art Deco influences, with rich mahogany detailing and marble finishes throughout.
Reserve Collection amenities and inaugural season perks
The owner's suites are part of the line's Reserve Collection, which includes personalised butler service, an expanded 24-hour in-suite dining menu, and a selection of premium spirits and wines. The 126-square-foot balcony extends the living space outdoors, providing an intimate setting for enjoying the scenery as the ship sails through Asia, the Indian Ocean, and the Red Sea during its inaugural season.
To mark the debut, Atlas is offering savings of up to 20% on select 2029 voyages, along with air credits and enhanced WiFi. These incentives are designed to attract early bookings from luxury travellers and advisors. The Atlas Adventurer is the world's first luxury expedition sailing yacht, and the new suites reinforce the line's focus on high-end expedition travel.
For travel professionals, the introduction of these suites adds a new premium option in the growing expedition cruise market. The combination of large living spaces, personalised service, and unique itineraries positions the Atlas Adventurer as a contender for discerning clients. Similar moves by other lines, such as MSC Cruises' two-storey villa on its World Atlantic, indicate a broader trend toward more spacious, suite-heavy accommodations in the cruise industry.
Atlas Ocean Voyages continues to expand its fleet and itinerary offerings. The line's 2029 Africa voyages, which include air credits, are already generating interest among expedition travellers. As the Atlas Adventurer prepares for its debut, the owner's suites are expected to appeal to high-net-worth individuals seeking exclusive experiences in remote destinations.
The announcement comes as the cruise sector sees increased demand for luxury expedition travel, with operators like Seabourn also emphasising destination-focused dining and immersive experiences. Atlas's new suites are a direct response to this demand, offering a level of comfort and service that rivals traditional luxury hotels.
With the Atlas Adventurer set to sail in late 2028, the line is already accepting reservations, and the inaugural-season incentives are likely to drive early uptake. For agents, the suites represent a compelling selling point for clients who value space, privacy, and the ability to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations without sacrificing comfort.
