Holland America Line has unveiled its 2026 festive season programme, promising a blend of traditional holiday cheer and onboard innovation across its fleet. The cruise line is also sweetening the deal for Caribbean-bound guests with a Fly&Cruise package that includes up to £600 per person in flight credit, plus a pre-cruise hotel stay and transfers.

The seasonal lineup spans everything from Brunch with Santa to the Feast of the Seven Fishes, alongside ship-wide decorations, tree-lighting ceremonies, carol singing, and family-friendly film screenings. New Year’s Eve will be marked with a champagne toast, ensuring a celebratory send-off into 2027.

“The holidays are a time when traditions and togetherness matter most, and travelling doesn’t mean leaving those traditions behind,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage and rooms division at Holland America Line. “Our 2026 festive programme is designed to let guests enjoy the season’s magic while exploring new destinations.”

Festive dining and new partnerships

Culinary offerings will merge classic holiday dishes with international flavours. A standout addition is the Magnolia Gingerbread Cake, created in collaboration with Magnolia Bakery, adding a touch of New York confectionery expertise to the cruise menu. Guests can also sip on seasonal creations like Christmas Cocoamint Coffee and a range of festive cocktails.

The programme reflects Holland America’s broader strategy to enhance the guest experience through partnerships and themed programming. For travel advisors, this presents an opportunity to promote holiday sailings as a turnkey celebration, especially for multi-generational families.

Sample itineraries include a seven-day Eastern Caribbean holiday aboard Nieuw Amsterdam and a 14-day Southern Caribbean holiday aboard Volendam. These longer voyages are particularly appealing for those seeking an extended festive escape, and the Fly&Cruise credit helps offset airfare costs.

Holland America’s festive push comes as the cruise industry continues to see strong demand for holiday travel. The line’s focus on family-friendly activities and culinary experiences aligns with broader trends in the sector, where experiential dining and entertainment are key differentiators.

For agents, the Fly&Cruise package simplifies booking by bundling air, hotel, and transfers, making it easier to sell complete holiday packages. The £600 credit is a significant incentive, especially for transatlantic travellers heading to the Caribbean.

Holland America has also been expanding its Alaska offerings, marking 80 years in the region with a heritage excursion lineup. That commitment to destination-rich itineraries complements the festive season programme, giving guests a range of options for 2026.

As the holiday season becomes an increasingly competitive battleground for cruise lines, Holland America’s combination of festive programming, culinary partnerships, and airfare incentives positions it well. The line’s ability to blend tradition with innovation will likely resonate with both loyal cruisers and new-to-cruise families.

Travel professionals can expect strong demand for these sailings, particularly the Caribbean departures that offer the Fly&Cruise benefit. With the programme now public, advisors should move quickly to secure inventory for clients planning their 2026 holiday travel.
