Aman at Sea is broadening the debut Caribbean season of its luxury yacht Amangati, with reservations now open for an extended winter programme running from November 2027 through March 2028. The expansion adds 12 new voyages of five to eight nights, taking in historic harbours and lesser-visited archipelagos across the Antilles, including first-ever calls in the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Grenadines.

Three regional itineraries anchor the season

The Caribbean season will open in Saint John's, Antigua and Barbuda, and will be structured around three distinct regional routes: the Leeward Islands, the Windward Islands and the Dutch Caribbean. The Leeward Islands voyages will call at Gustavia in Saint Barthélemy and Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, while the Windward Islands itinerary features Guadeloupe, Dominica and Saint Lucia. The Dutch Caribbean voyages will explore Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, offering a mix of Dutch colonial heritage and vibrant marine life.

For winter 2028, the yacht will push further west into the Greater Antilles, marking Amangati's inaugural visits to the Dominican Republic. According to the company, “Ashore, a considered programme of cultural, culinary and naturalist-led experiences is complemented by bespoke exploration.” This reflects Aman's broader push into experiential luxury travel, a segment that continues to attract high-net-worth clients seeking privacy and authenticity.

Mediterranean and Atlantic passage precede the Caribbean

Before repositioning to the Caribbean, Amangati will complete a series of Mediterranean voyages covering the Aegean, Ionian and Western Mediterranean regions. The yacht will then undertake the Atlantic Passage, a 13-night wellness-focused journey from Málaga to Antigua, designed to reset guests ahead of the Caribbean season. This positioning voyage is likely to appeal to travellers looking for a slow, restorative crossing with Aman's signature spa and wellness programming.

The extended Caribbean schedule offers flexible embarkation, late departures and intimate shore excursions, all aimed at delivering a more personalised experience than typical large-ship itineraries. On board, Amangati features 47 ocean-facing suites and the largest Aman Spa in luxury yachting, reinforcing the brand's commitment to wellness and exclusivity at sea.

The move comes as luxury cruise operators continue to expand their offerings in the Caribbean and beyond. Virgin Voyages' recent onboard credit promotion and Atlas Ocean Voyages' suite upgrades highlight the competitive dynamics in the premium segment. Aman at Sea's extension positions it to capture demand from affluent travellers seeking longer, more immersive voyages in the region.

With the Caribbean season now stretching into March 2028, Aman at Sea is giving travel advisors and luxury tour operators a longer window to sell Amangati's unique product. The combination of new destinations, flexible scheduling and the brand's wellness focus is likely to resonate with clients who have already experienced Aman resorts on land and are looking for a seamless transition to the water.

As the yachting sector continues to evolve, Aman at Sea's approach—small ship, high service ratio, and a strong emphasis on destination authenticity—sets it apart from traditional cruise lines. The extended season also aligns with broader industry trends, such as Antarctica21's expanded air-cruise programme, which shows that luxury travellers are willing to invest in remote and unique experiences.

For now, the focus is on the Caribbean, where Amangati will offer a level of intimacy and service that few vessels can match. With the Atlantic Passage acting as a bridge between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, Aman at Sea is crafting a seamless global itinerary that could appeal to the most discerning of travellers.
