Hyatt Hotels Corporation has expanded its India footprint with the opening of Hyatt Place Vithalapur, the brand's first property in the industrial city of Vithalapur, Gujarat. The 108-room hotel is the first internationally recognized hotel brand in the area, positioning itself as a key accommodation option for the region's growing number of business travelers.

Strategically located in one of India's most dynamic manufacturing corridors, the hotel is designed to cater to corporate visitors, particularly those from the automobile and allied industries that are increasingly establishing operations in Vithalapur. As the city emerges as a pivotal node in India's industrial growth, the property aims to provide a blend of comfort, convenience, and efficient service for both business and leisure guests.

“As Vithalapur rapidly transforms into a pivotal hub in India’s manufacturing ecosystem, we are excited to introduce Hyatt Place Vithalapur to the market,” said Bhuwan Chandra, General Manager of Hyatt Place Vithalapur. “We’re creating a hospitality experience that aligns with the ambitions of the region.”

Property highlights and amenities

The hotel offers contemporary guestrooms and suites, including King and Twin rooms, as well as King Deluxe and Premium categories. Many rooms feature private balconies overlooking the pool, providing a respite after a day of meetings. Dining options include Zing, the hotel's all-day restaurant, which offers live kitchen theatrics—a draw for guests seeking a more interactive culinary experience.

For business travelers, the property includes meeting spaces and conference facilities, making it suitable for small to mid-sized corporate events. The hotel's location also provides convenient access to local industrial parks and manufacturing units, reducing commute times for visiting professionals.

Vijay Maan, Director of Sukhmaa Group, the hotel's owner, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Hyatt. “This relationship is built on a shared vision to bring world-class hospitality to a region that has long deserved global attention,” he said.

The opening of Hyatt Place Vithalapur reflects a broader trend of international hotel brands expanding into India's secondary cities, driven by infrastructure development and industrial growth. This move aligns with similar efforts by other hospitality groups to tap into emerging business hubs. For instance, Wyndham's recent expansion across EMEA highlights the industry's focus on high-growth markets.

India's outbound travel market is also evolving, with travelers seeking diverse experiences. Recent data from Skyscanner indicates that culture now drives most Indian holiday bookings, a trend that could influence how hotels in industrial cities like Vithalapur position themselves for leisure travelers.

For travel agents and corporate travel managers, the new property offers a reliable option for clients visiting Gujarat's industrial belt. The hotel's amenities and service standards are expected to meet the expectations of international business travelers, who often require consistent quality across brands.

Hyatt Place Vithalapur is poised to become a top choice for business travelers, conference attendees, and international guests who value comfort and convenience. With its strategic location and brand backing, the hotel is set to play a significant role in supporting the region's economic development.
