UK-based travel wholesaler Major Travel has rolled out a new cruise booking capability on its Major Go platform, giving agents the ability to assemble and price complete cruise holidays without juggling multiple systems. The feature, live since 17 August 2026, is designed to streamline the booking process for trade partners, allowing them to combine cruises with flights, hotels, and transfers in a single transaction.

One-stop shop for cruise sales

Major Go now provides access to a roster of leading cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Disney Cruise Line. Agents can build tailor-made itineraries, add pre- and post-cruise stays, and secure all components in one booking. This integration removes the friction of separate reservations, which has long been a pain point for agents selling cruise holidays.

Qasim Gulamhusein, Managing Director at Major Travel, described the launch as a significant step for the trade. "This is a real game changer for agents selling cruise. Being able to create the whole holiday in one place makes it much easier to offer customers a truly tailor-made experience," he said.

The platform is currently in pilot mode, with Major Travel inviting agents to test the functionality and provide feedback. As an incentive, agents will receive £50 (approximately $61) for each cruise booking made through Major Go until the end of September. The company says this initiative not only rewards early adopters but also helps refine the system ahead of its full commercial launch.

Major Travel, established in 1974, remains an independent, family-run business focused on agent relationships and service excellence. The new cruise module is part of a broader effort to enhance its technology offering for the trade, which already includes dynamic packaging and a range of long-haul and short-haul products.

The move comes as cruise demand continues to strengthen, with lines like Princess Cruises opening 2028 Alaska bookings and the wider sector seeing robust forward sales. For agents, having a single platform to manage cruise holidays could prove a competitive advantage, particularly as luxury travel bookings surge in 2026.

Major Travel's initiative also aligns with broader industry trends toward consolidation and efficiency. As FCM Travel adds AI chat booking to its corporate platform, the focus on simplifying booking processes is evident across the sector.

Agents interested in participating in the pilot can contact Major Travel directly. The company expects the full launch to follow after the feedback period, with further enhancements based on agent input.
