Travel Compositor, a provider of booking engine solutions for the travel trade, has integrated AskIA into its AI Trips platform. The move gives travel agents a conversational interface to design, quote, and book multi-component itineraries without manually sifting through search results.

With AskIA, an agent types a natural-language description of a client's desired journey — whether a two-week tour of Southeast Asia or a short city break — and the AI generates a complete itinerary that can be booked in three clicks. The system handles hotel, transport, and activity selection, reducing the time spent on research and quotation.

Premium Innovator Programme Gets First Access

The integration is initially rolling out to customers enrolled in Travel Compositor's Premium Innovator programme. These early adopters gain access to the conversational AI experience before a wider release. Travel Compositor positions the feature as a way for forward-thinking agencies to differentiate themselves in a competitive market.

Alongside AskIA, the company has launched Smart Filter, an AI-powered tool that refines hotel and transport options based on traveller preferences. Smart Filter helps agents quickly surface the most relevant inventory, further streamlining the selection process.

Travel Compositor's strategy reflects a broader industry push toward AI-driven personalisation. Similar moves have been seen across the travel-tech landscape — for instance, Dida Holdings launched an AI-native gateway for hotel bookings via partner platforms earlier this year, and Hope Street Hotel reported an 18% direct revenue lift after a unified booking platform launch.

The company says the conversational AI reduces friction in the booking process, allowing agents to focus on crafting tailored experiences rather than navigating multiple interfaces. For tour operators and travel advisors handling complex, multi-destination itineraries, the time savings could be significant.

Travel Compositor's platform is used by agencies and tour operators globally, including those serving the luxury and MICE segments. The ability to quickly generate and book custom itineraries aligns with the growing demand for personalised travel, a trend also evident in Oliver's Travels' report of late luxury villa bookings surging as affluent groups book bigger properties closer to departure.

Industry observers note that AI-driven booking tools are becoming a competitive necessity. As airlines, hotel groups, and cruise lines invest in direct distribution, intermediaries need technology that matches the speed and personalisation of consumer-facing platforms. Travel Compositor's integration of AskIA positions its agency clients to offer a more efficient, conversational booking experience that can compete with direct channels.

The company has not announced a timeline for wider availability of AskIA beyond the Premium Innovator programme. However, the launch signals that Travel Compositor intends to deepen its investment in AI capabilities, with potential future features including predictive pricing, dynamic packaging, and automated post-booking service.
