ELE|NA, the spa and wellness brand under Atmosphere Wellness, is marking its 11th anniversary this November with a theme of '11 Years. One Essence.' Since its founding in the Maldives, the brand has grown its holistic wellness philosophy across South Asia, emphasizing personalized treatments, sustainability, and a deep connection to nature.

Growth and recognition

All eight of ELE|NA's Maldives sanctuaries have achieved the Platinum Sustainable Spa & Wellness Accreditation, underscoring the brand's commitment to eco-conscious operations. ELE|NA was also named Leading Wellness Brand of the Year at the South Asian Travel Awards, and its skincare line, ELE|NA Essentia, took home Emerging Skincare Brand of the Year at the Destination Deluxe Awards 2025.

Heidi Grimwood, Senior Vice President of ELE|NA, said: "For eleven years, ELE|NA has believed that wellness should feel personal and give back to the places that inspire it. That belief has not changed."

India expansion

The brand is deepening its footprint in India with the launch of ELE|NA Ayur at Ananta Spa & Resort in Ajabgarh, with additional locations slated for Jaipur and Coorg. ELE|NA is also introducing its Essentia skincare line to the Indian market, drawing on local botanicals to create region-specific products.

This expansion aligns with broader trends in the region, where wellness tourism is gaining momentum. As seen with Clinique La Prairie's upcoming Phuket resort, luxury wellness is becoming a key driver for travel in Asia.

Future plans

Looking ahead, ELE|NA plans to bring its nature-led wellness approach to Sri Lanka and Nepal. The brand's strategy focuses on integrating wellness with the natural environment and engaging local communities, a model that has proven successful in the Maldives.

This regional push comes as travel demand in South Asia continues to rise, with carriers like Vietjet expanding its South Asia network to connect key markets. For hoteliers and tour operators, ELE|NA's growth signals opportunities for partnerships in spa and wellness offerings.

As ELE|NA celebrates its 11th year, the brand remains dedicated to its Pillars of Vitality framework, which guides its therapies and ensures a consistent, high-quality experience across all locations. With new destinations on the horizon, ELE|NA is poised to become a leading wellness brand across South Asia.
