Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad has expanded its wellness portfolio with the opening of Tattva Wellness Spa, operated in partnership with the Indian spa brand. The move aligns with Marriott's broader push to integrate lifestyle and wellbeing services into its full-service properties across South Asia.
The spa offers a menu of restorative treatments, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and Indian Abhyanga, alongside specialized therapies such as jetlag recovery and sports therapy. Facilities include two single-treatment rooms and two couple-treatment rooms, catering to individual and shared wellness experiences.
Strategic wellness push for business and leisure guests
The launch underscores the hotel's strategy to blend contemporary hospitality with holistic care, a segment that continues to gain traction among corporate travelers and weekend visitors alike. Located in Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad, the property features 106 rooms and suites, multiple dining venues, and flexible event spaces, making the spa a key differentiator in a competitive NCR submarket.
Praveen Sharma, Hotel Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad, emphasized the philosophy behind the addition: “We believe that a well-rounded hospitality experience is about giving guests the space to work, connect and unwind. With Tattva Wellness Spa, we are extending this philosophy through thoughtfully curated therapies and personal care services.”
Shipra Sharma, Co-Founder of Tattva Wellness Spa, highlighted the partnership's role in democratizing wellness. “Our association with Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad allows us to bring Tattva’s wellness philosophy to a wider audience in a setting that encourages guests to pause, recharge and prioritise their well-being,” she said.
The spa opening comes as hoteliers increasingly invest in wellness amenities to capture demand from both bleisure travelers and health-conscious leisure guests. Marriott International has been expanding its wellness footprint across Asia Pacific, with recent debuts such as Kyoto Marriott's new property and the JW Marriott conversion in Fiji, signaling a regional trend toward integrated wellbeing offerings.
For travel advisors and corporate booking managers, the new spa adds a tangible perk for clients seeking recovery-focused stays, particularly those arriving on long-haul flights. The jetlag recovery therapy is designed to address a common pain point for international business travelers, while sports therapy appeals to active leisure guests.
Tattva Wellness Spa, which operates multiple locations across India, brings its established protocols and trained therapists to the Ghaziabad property. The brand's co-founder noted that the partnership allows the spa to reach a broader audience in a hotel setting that prioritizes relaxation and recovery.
The development also reflects a wider industry shift toward wellness tourism, a segment projected to grow significantly in the coming years. As sleep tourism emerges as a major pillar of wellness travel, hotels are increasingly incorporating spa and recovery services into their core offerings.
Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad's move is part of a larger pattern among hospitality brands to differentiate through wellness. Similar initiatives include Le Méridien's planned wellness resort in Rishikesh and Clinique La Prairie's Southeast Asia debut, underscoring the growing importance of spa and wellbeing facilities in hotel development strategies.
With the spa now operational, Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad aims to strengthen its position in the NCR hospitality market, appealing to both corporate clients seeking post-meeting relaxation and leisure travelers looking for a restorative weekend escape.
