VFS Global has expanded its network in Saudi Arabia with the launch of Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Contract Verification Centres in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah. The new facilities are designed to simplify employment contract verification for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), a key demographic in the Kingdom’s labor market.
Developed in partnership with DBP Data Centre Inc., the centres are projected to handle approximately 34,500 applicants annually. The service combines digital pre-processing with in-person document submission, offering both scheduled appointments and walk-in options. Applicants can book slots and make payments online before visiting a centre, and once verification is completed by the MWO, they receive email notifications to access their Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) and verified contract.
Extended Hours and Digital Enhancements
The centres feature extended operating hours, real-time application tracking, and secure online payment options, aiming to reduce friction for workers who often face logistical challenges. This follows the opening of similar centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi earlier this year, signaling a broader regional rollout.
Jiten Vyas, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Business Development at VFS Global, commented: “We are pleased to leverage our network of centres across KSA to bring contract verification services closer to Filipinos residing in the Kingdom. This new offering further strengthens our longstanding relationship with the Philippines.”
Beyond contract verification, VFS Global provides ePassport Renewal services, Police Clearance, and Passport Extension for Filipinos in Saudi Arabia, creating a one-stop platform for consular needs. The initiative aligns with Philippine government standards to safeguard worker welfare, a priority for the country’s Department of Migrant Workers.
For travel industry stakeholders, this development underscores the growing role of specialized service providers in facilitating labor mobility — a critical component of the global travel ecosystem. As Frank Jaffé Takes Helm of SITA Global Services to Drive Service Excellence, similar trends in outsourcing and digitalization are reshaping how travel-related administrative processes are managed.
The expansion also reflects Saudi Arabia’s increasing reliance on foreign labor, particularly in construction, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. With the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 driving mega-projects and tourism growth, efficient worker documentation becomes essential for both employers and employees.
VFS Global’s move is part of a wider pattern where travel-adjacent services — such as visa processing, document verification, and consular support — are being streamlined through technology and physical presence. This mirrors developments in the hotel sector, where Independent Hotels Forge Global Alliances to Tackle Distribution Costs and Scaling Challenges, leveraging partnerships to enhance operational efficiency.
For travel agents and tour operators handling Filipino workers or corporate travel to Saudi Arabia, the new centres offer a reliable touchpoint for client support. The integration of digital tools also aligns with broader industry trends toward contactless and automated services, as highlighted by TravelAI Launches Traveller.md: A Portable, User-Owned Memory File for Personalised Travel Planning, which emphasizes user-controlled data and seamless travel experiences.
With the Saudi tourism and MICE sectors expanding rapidly — evidenced by events like the Beijing CBD Forum 2026: A Gateway for Global Travel and Business Leaders — efficient worker mobility remains a backbone for sustained growth. VFS Global’s investment in contract verification infrastructure is a practical step toward supporting that ecosystem.
